Every client is unique and at LLA Therapy we work with each individual to establish personalized goals, create a strong a partnership with clients as well as families, and chart a detailed roadmap to success.

Most of our clients attend weekly, 30-minute therapy sessions, but the frequency and length of the visits can be adjusted to each family’s needs. We know that engaging sessions are crucial to success,so they are customized to meet client goals through the use of fun, motivating activities.

In an effort to sustain progress and momentum, therapists provide home assignments and offer families strategies and suggestions. This empowers parents and siblings to be actively involved as part of the team.

Additional Speech Therapy Information

  • Orofacial Myofunctional – disorders of the muscles and functions of the face and mouth
  • Swallowing / Feeding – program designed to work with resistant eaters and their families
  • PROMPT – PROMPT is an acronym for ‘Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets.’ This method of speech therapy was originally created to target individuals with severe motor impairments. PROMPT provides support in a multi-sensory (with focus on tactile-kinesthetic) and dynamic way to support growth and development of speech and communication function. PROMPT aims to facilitate a client’s ability to produce speech sounds, to modify motor patterns already created for speech sounds, and to integrate motor, social-emotional, and cognitive-linguistic functions for the development of effective communication.
  • Orton-Gillingham – Orton-Gillingham is a structured, multi-sensory approach to teaching literacy when a child struggles with developing reading, writing, and spelling skills. LLA Therapy’s speech therapists who utilize the Orton-Gillingham approach can evaluate and design lessons and materials that are individualized to the needs of the child. Instruction focuses on strengths and weaknesses while teaching a direct and systematic understanding of language and its relationship to our reading and writing systems.
